As you know my blog is about Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.  This is the latest information on the two and the competition between them

Over the past two years, these two superstars have only met three times.  Over the past three games, Real Madrid, were defeated all three times by the skillful FC Barcelona.  In one Cristiano’s first match with his new club, Real Madrid only lost by one goal, with a final score of one to nothing.  In this match Ronaldo clearly outplayed the new young superstar, but it was not good enough.

In the second meeting between these two masterful players, Madrid lost yet again.  This match they lost by two goals.  This match happened later on in the season, when Lionel Messi was at his prime, but still was outplayed but Ronaldo.

The last match that these two athletes met was November 29, 2010.  The pattern continued from the past few games, and Madrid fell to Barcelona one more time.  The scoring pattern continued as well.  From the 1-0 score, to the 2-0 score, to a 5-0 score, Madrid seemed to be unable to hold on as Messi stayed in his prime and outplayed Ronaldo.

The two players have more matches to come during the season.  An upcoming game in April will determine who is truly the better of the two in the regular season, and then will restart in the post-season.

Superstar Names - Superstar Facts

As mentioned in my welcoming post, I stated that there will be many facts that will be in this blog and here are many interesting things about these two superstars that most of you may not know.

First, we will discuss the basic facts of these two players that non fans of the game might not know.  Cristiano Ronaldo plays for a Spanish club team called Real Madrid, and has been given the nickname CR7, because of his initials and his number that made him so renowned. Lionel Messi is on the club team, FC Barcelona, another Spanish team.  His number is number 10, which is associated with many greats of soccer, such as Pele, Maradona, and many more

The number of dollars that Cristiano Ronaldo was paid to transfer from Manchester United to Real Madrid.  That’s more than most professional athletes will ever make in their lives combined!  Both Messi, and Ronaldo have made huge impressions on the world of soccer and both have won many awards such as the Fifa Ball D’or, which is given to the best players and coaches in the world, the UEFA Footballer of the Year, and many other notable awards.  Their goal counts remain about equal but the two are scoring more and more each day.

Cristiano and Lionel both started playing the game at a very early age and entered the professionals both, very young.  Cristiano Ronaldo started playing at age 16, and  Messi at 17.  These two athletes are known worldwide for their skills and flashiness on the field, but they both are known for other reasons.  Cristiano Ronaldo is very famous for his dives, which gives many people the impression that he is not as great as other players.  Messi, on the other hand, is known for not playing as well for his international team of Argentina, while he dominates the field with his club team Barcelona.

Both athletes have amazing facts that most do not know.  During one lifting assembly, Cristiano Ronaldo lifts 23,055 kgs of weight!  Also, Ronaldo’s free kicks reach speeds topping 130 km/h.  Some sources say that at one point in Lionel Messi’s life, he was in a relationship with a 14 year old model.  It seems as though many athletes enjoy to party and drink and smoke, but not Cristiano Ronaldo, he neither drinks nor smokes.  As a child, Lionel Messi had a growth hormone deficiency

Welcome to my blog!  In this blog we will be comparing two of soccer’s most skillful players: Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

I find this topic to be very interesting because over the past ten years I have been playing soccer and I have learned to love soccer.

 I picked this as my topic because I feel there are many people that believe either one of these players could be called the best.  Other soccer enthusiasts or persons who are fans of these two players, can come here and discuss this topic and put in their points of view and through that, we will learn more about both of these soccer legends.

I deem that this blog should be viewed for many reasons. There will be facts on here that sports aficionados alike would find to be very shocking and informing.  Also, this blog has all the soccer a player of a supporter of the game could want.  If you are not a full-blown supporter of the game and you wish to learn more or, you are new to soccer and are interested in learning about it, there will be several opportunities to pick up on the rules and much more.

On this blog you will find many things ranging from videos to threads and posts.  There will be videos of both of the soccer players with clips of their best moments against each other and when not against each other.  As said above, there will be much information regarding the players’ many achievements, their statistics, and other information about their off the field training, where their strength and speed will be put head to head.
